INGREDIENTS
5 packs of digestive biscuits (Milk Choc ones Optional)
240 grams unsalted butter
4 tins of condensed milk
250mil of fresh cream
3-4 large ripe bananas
Small bit of cooking chocolate to garnish
METHOD
1) Firstly, we have to cook the condensed milk, please allow 4-5 hours cooking time here, the easiest way is to cook in a water ban Marie in the oven or boil in a pot, just keep an eye if using this method and keep the water topped up!
2) Once cooked leave to cool fully
3) For the base we crush our digestive biscuits, once all broken, we melt our butter and add in while thoroughly mixing,
4) Place in a Cake ring or Casserole dish and place in fridge for it to set
5) Once the condensed milk is cool and base is set, cover the base completely with your Cooked condensed milk, now caramel,
6) Slice up bananas and add to the base,
7) Whip some fresh cream and add also
8) The banoffee pie is ready to serve, add some grated chocolate to garnish
