You’re gonna love these sloppy Joe burgers, they’re quick, so cheap to make and absolutely delicious, easy on the waistline too.
SERVES 4Ingredients
- 500g lean minced beef (we use the 5 per cent fat mince) - 1 tsp garlic granules -1 tsp smoked paprika - 1 tbsp soy sauce -dash Worcestershire sauce - 1 small white onion, finely chopped - 1 green pepper or red pepper , finely chopped - 150ml Frank's RedHot Wings Buffalo Sauce - 3 tbsp reduced-sugar ketchup - 30g Cheddar, grated - 4 Wholemeal burger buns - Oil To garnish I used some pickle slices, crispy onion and some spicy mayonnaise. METHOD 1. Heat some oil in a pan over a medium heat. Add the beef and brown for 5 minutes. 2. Then add the garlic granules, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce to the pan and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add in the onion and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes. 3. Once the onion and pepper are cooked, stir in the hot sauce and ketchup sauce and heat through. Reduce to a simmer and stir in the Cheddar and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce thickens. 4. Toast the buns under the grill with some cheese slices and put them on a serving plate. Spoon the sloppy Joe mixture on top and enjoy every bite. To garnish I used some pickle slices, crispy onion and some spicy mayonnaise. And if you don’t fancy it in a bun, try it over a baked potato or over some nachos. Absolutely banging.
