4 large or 6 medium ripe Pears, cored Peeled and halved.
A half lemon
Butter 30g
Brown Sugar 50g
Butter 100g
Plain Flour 50g
Brown Sugar 40g
Gingernut Biscuits 40g crumbled
Oats 40g
80% Cocoa solids Chocolate 100g Chopped
Clotted Cream 100g
1. Preheat the oven to 180c, at the same time set a frying pan to heat until it smokes.
2. Cook the pears with the butter in the pan until they are a little browned, Add the brown sugar and caramelise.
3. To make the crumble rub the butter and flour until they are like breadcrumbs, add the brown sugar, Biscuits and oats and mix. A spoon of water will help the mix clump together.
4. Pour the pears into an earthenware dish , Top with the crumble mix, then the chocolate.
5. Bake for 40 mins until golden brown.
6. Serve with a spoon of cream On top
