Ingredients –
Filling:
· 1kg apples
· 150g frozen cranberries
· 1 tsp ground cinnamon
· ½ tsp mixed spice
· 75g caster sugar
Crumble:
· 125g plain flour
· 100g butter
· 50g caster sugar
· ½ tsp mixed spice
Method –
1. Heat the oven to 200C/180C fan/gas
2. Tip the apples, cranberries, spices and sugar into a 22cm square baking dish and mix well to combine.
3. For the crumble, rub the flour and butter together using your fingertips until you have a breadcrumb-like consistency.
4. Stir in the sugar and mixed spice.
5. Sprinkle the crumble in an even layer over the fruit.
6. Bake for 35-40 mins.
7. Leave to cool slightly, then serve warm.
