Chicken and Smoked Bacon Spaghetti with Garlic Bread

Ingredients
Garlic Bread:
4 small bread roll per person?
3oz/75g butter?
2 cloves of garlic-chopped finely?
1 dessertspoon of chopped parsley?
Seasoning.?
Pasta:
10oz/300g spaghetti?
5oz/150g smoked bacon lardons-diced?
3 breasts of chicken-diced??
1 onion-diced finely?
1 can (14oz/400g) chopped tomatoes?
3 ½ floz/100ml pouring cream (optional)?
1 teaspoon dried oregano?
1 red pepper-diced?
1 yellow pepper-diced?
2 cloves garlic?
Pinch dried chilli flakes?
Method –
Garlic Bread:
Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas Mark 4
Slice open bread roll
Mix the butter, garlic, seasoning and parsley together
Spread on the butter mixture to the bread roll
Bake for 7-10 minutes until crispy?
Pasta:
Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of boiling salted water and cook according to the packet instructions. Drain and retain until required.?
Heat a large saucepan with a little oil or butter and add the diced chicken, bacon and garlic. Cook slowly for 4-5 minutes until it is gently cooked.
Add in the sliced onion and peppers (basically you can use any vegetables with this recipe so just play around with what you have)?
Cook the vegetables until they have all softened down-this will possibly take a further 5 minutes.
Add in the tin of chopped tomatoes (I normally wash out the tin with a little extra water and add this to the dish just to make sure that you get all of the goodness of the tomatoes into the dish and also it will make a delicious sauce.)?
Add the pouring cream and the dried oregano (And chilli flakes if using) then allow the entire mixture to come to the boil.
Add in the cooked spaghetti and allow the spaghetti to reheat thoroughly in the hot sauce.
Correct the seasoning and serve immediately with the crispy garlic bread.?
