Ingredients
115 g butter 285 g marshmallows
230 g Rice Krispies cereal (6 cups)
100 g dark chocolate
15 g (additional) butter
Green food colouring
Other decorations:
Eyes
Chocolate sprinkles
Rolos
Method
This can be done on the hob or in the microwave.
In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and continue to stir until the marshmallows have completely melted. Remove from heat. Add your preferred amount of green food colouring.
Stir in the Rice Krispies cereal coating them well with the melted green marshmallow mixture.
Before the mixture cools, shape them into rectangles. It’s easiest to use vinyl gloves covered in butter.
Melt chocolate with a nob of butter. Dip one end of your shape into the chocolate. Cover the chocolate in sprinkles and allow it to cool. Any remaining chocolate can be used for the face.
Add a rolo to each side, and decorate with sugar eyes, drizzled chocolate or Smarties for eyes. Drizzle melted chocolate to make a mouth.
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS:
Microwave butter with marshmallows on high setting for 2 minutes in a microwave safe mixing bowl. Stir together when melted. Microwave again on high for 1 additional minute. Stir in cereal, mixing until well coated.
