Airfryer Cheeseburger Spring Rolls with Lettuce and Pickles
Perfect for simple garden parties & snacks
Ingredients:
Filling:
• 250g beef mince
• 40g onion, finely diced
• 60g burger pickles, finely diced (plus extra whole slices to serve)
• 15g Dijon mustard
• 2 tsp sea salt
• 10 slices cheddar cheese
Spring roll glue:
• 10g plain flour
• 10g water
To assemble and cook:
• 10 spring roll wrappers
• Oil spray, for cooking
Method:
1. Make the filling:
In a large bowl, combine the beef mince, diced onion, diced pickles, Dijon mustard, and sea salt. Mix gently until just combined—don’t overmix or the texture will be too dense.
2. Shape and wrap:
Divide the mixture into 10 portions and roll each into a small sausage shape. Wrap each one in a slice of cheddar cheese.
3. Make the spring roll glue:
Stir the flour and water together to form a smooth, thick paste.
4. Assemble the rolls:
Place each cheeseburger sausage onto a spring roll wrapper. Fold the wrapper like an envelope and roll up tightly, sealing the edge with a bit of the flour paste. Repeat with the remaining rolls.
5. Air fry:
Preheat your air fryer to 200°C. Place about 8 spring rolls into the basket, spaced apart. Spray lightly with oil. Cook for 10 minutes, flip them over, spray again, and cook for another 10 minutes until golden and crisp.
6. To serve:
Serve with extra pickles, shredded lettuce, and a dipping sauce made with ketchup.
