Ingredients
500g lean pork mince or lean beef mince
1 fresh red chilli, sliced
1 onion, finely sliced
200g bean sprouts (optional)
Handful shiitake mushrooms or chestnut mushrooms finely diced
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp honey
½ tsp ground ginger
1 tsp garlic granules
1-2 tsp sesame oil
8 iceberg lettuce leaves or BabyGem Lettuce
Method
Heat the sesame oil In a medium-sized pan, brown your pork or beef with 1 tbsp of the soy sauce, fresh chilli, onion and garlic granules
Add in the bean sprouts and mushrooms and fry off, then add the other tbsp of soy, the ginger, oyster sauce and honey
Let it all cook for 5 minutes on a medium heat until the sauce thickens.
Once ready, spoon some into a lettuce leaf, fold over and enjoy this little gift to your taste buds.
