Chilli & Lime Turkey Burgers

Chilli & Lime Turkey Burgers

(Serves 4–6)

Ingredients:

  • 500g turkey mince (thigh or breast)

  • 1 red chilli (finely chopped, adjust to taste)

  • Zest and juice of 1 lime

  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 2 spring onions (finely sliced)

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh coriander (optional)

  • Salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for grilling)

To Serve:

  • Burger buns or lettuce wraps

  • Sliced avocado, tomato, or pickled onions (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine turkey mince, chilli, lime zest and juice, garlic, spring onions, cumin, paprika, coriander, salt, and pepper.

  2. Mix well and shape into 4–6 burger patties.

  3. Chill for 15–20 mins to firm up.

  4. Brush with oil and grill on BBQ (or griddle pan) for 5–6 mins per side, or until cooked through and golden.

  5. Serve in buns or lettuce leaves with toppings of choice and sides below.
