Chef Adrian was in the kitchen to whip up a delicious turkey steak with sliced brussel sprouts.
Ingredients
2 turkey steaks
2 knobs of butter
200ml of water
2 sprigs of fresh thyme
For the brussel sprouts
1 bag of brussel sprouts
1 red onion sliced
a small knob of ginger
4tbsp of soya sauce
2tbsp of sweet chilli sauce
Method
For the turkey steak season with sea salt on both sides.
On a hot pan with oil seal both sides for two minutes and then reduce the heat to medium.
Cook them for a further 2 mins on both sides.
Then add the butter thyme and water and all to reduce to a emulsfyed consitency. Turn off the heat and set aside until serving.
For the brussel sprouts wash them and then slice really thin with a knife.
Alternatively you can whizz them through the slicer blade on a food processor. In a hot wok with some oil cook the red onion for one minute.
Add the sliced brussel sprouts and cook for 2 minutes. Now add the soya, ginger and the sweet chilli and cook until soft.
Serve the brussel sprouts in a bowl, with the turkey steak on top.
Now spoon over the sauce and place the cranberry sauce nest right on top. Tuck in and enjoy.
