TV3 GROUP RELEASE
IMMEDIATE: Thursday 12th September 2013
Brand New Celebrity Apprentice
Sponsored by Hyundai Cars
Celebrity Apprentice will air on Monday 23rd September at 9pm on TV3
For the first time on Irish TV screens Celebrity Apprentice will air this autumn on TV3. With a brand new boardroom line up and a host of well known faces from the world of entertainment, sports and business, Celebrity Apprentice is set to upset the boardroom and provide €25,000 for charity!
The apprentice line-up includes five ladies - musician Frances Black, novelist Amanda Brunker, models Daniella Moyles and Emma Quinlan and ex BeWitched singer Edele Lynch, and five boys - Boyzone’s Mikey Graham, the man who brought down Barings Bank Nick Leeson, Olympic Boxer Michael Conlan, Hardybucks actor Martin Maloney and Fair City’s Maclean Burke.
Just like the regular show, the 10 Apprentices will be presented with tasks from some of Ireland’s top brands. They will have to use their initiative, tenacity and determination to triumph, win the task and keep out of the firing line!
Jeff Ford, TV3 Group Director of Content, said: “TV3 are very excited to bring you the first ever Irish Celebrity Apprentice. There are some incredibly strong personalities in the show which promises to make for some seriously compulsive viewing. However, the really great thing about Celebrity Apprentice is, behind the competitive streaks, are some brilliant charitable causes that will all benefit from the bitchiness and backstabbing in the boardroom!”
Win or lose, all the apprentices will have to face the wrath of entrepreneur and business leader Caroline Downey. Caroline will of course have the help and feedback of her associates; entrepreneur John Maguire and former TD Liz O’Donnell. They will shadow the apprentices as they plan their strategies and report back to Caroline in the boardroom.
Hyundai’s sponsorship of the Celebrity Apprentice coincides with the recent launch of the new Hyundai i40 and celebrates Hyundai’s success in becoming Ireland’s fastest growing car brand in 2013
The winning Apprentice will win €25,000 for their chosen charity.
Celebrity Apprentice will air on TV3 Monday nights at 9pm for 6 weeks from 23rd September to 28th October 2013.
A brand new series of Celebrity Apprentice You’re Fired! also returns to TV3 straight after Celebrity Apprentice at 10pm.
