This brand new TV3 series will step inside the doors of one of Ireland's most well known children's hospitals. This is the first time a camera crew has been allowed such unique and exclusive access to Temple Street Children’s Hospital. TV3 has been given unprecedented access to the theatres and wards; as we follow the highs and lows of the hospital’s daily routine and share in the journey of some inspiring, insightful and unique cases.

We meet the staff who devote their lives to the children in their care, we see the struggle and joy of families who give up everything to see their child get better and we share in the happy and inspirational times, as we are confronted with the hope and courage of some very brave young patients.

In the first episode of the series, ‘To Infinity and Beyond’, we meet a brave and courageous girl named Kayla, who one year ago swallowed some caustic acid by accident. Due to the condition of her esophagus, every few weeks Kayla and her parents travel to Temple Street for surgery. Her ability to eat and drink is severely comprised and the medical team has a delicate and vital procedure ahead. We also meet a young boy named Devon who arrived in A&E after a nasty fall and we meet a little boy named Charlie who has travelled from Cork with his parents for vital surgery.

TV3’s Director of Programming Ben Frow said: “We knew before we made this programme that Temple Street Children’s Hospital was a very special place, but since we’ve made this programme we now know that this is one of the most extraordinary institutions in Ireland, serving the people with exceptional care. We in TV3 love this programme and are sure it will strike a chord with viewers”

Head of Communications at Temple Street Children’s Hospital, Mo Durkan said: “We are delighted to collaborate with TV3 in the making of this documentary. We would like to thank our patient’s parents and all the staff at Temple Street for making this possible”
