This morning, Ireland AM aired an exclusive television interview with Ciaran and Aidan Priestley, brothers of Triona who tragically lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis earlier this month after her idol, singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran, sang her favourite song to her.

On April 1st, following a campaign from her friends, Ed called her to sing her favourite song 'Little Bird'. As he sang, Triona drifted to sleep, and passed away a few minutes later.

Triona's brothers Ciaran and Aidan joined Mark Cagney and Sinead Desmond this morning to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and Triona’s story in particular. Triona had appeared on Ireland AM in 2012 as part of a Temple Street Children’s Hospital segment with Anna Daly.

Ciaran told Mark and Sinead that he is preparing to run the New York marathon to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland. He chose this particular marathon because New York was Triona’s favourite place and it is one that holds very special memories for their family.
