Following four successful series’ on TV3, and further popularity around the world airing across 12 countries, including The United States, Australia, Denmark, Finland, Canada and on Channel 5 in the UK, Ireland’s Animal A&E returns for its fifth and most heart-melting series yet on TV3. In this brand new series, Andrea Hayes and the team are back, following the dedicated individuals who devote their lives to the protection, wellbeing and prevention of cruelty to animals.

In the first episode of this brand new series, Andrea and the ISPCA welfare team, come face-to-face with the ever growing trend of dumped and discarded equines. Responding to a reported case on a plot of land in Co. Offaly, ISPCA inspectors Conor and Michael discover two abandoned and uncared for donkeys dumped on the property. Hungry, alone and suffering from worryingly overgrown hooves, it’s a battle against time for the team to save these poor abandoned animals.

Meanwhile over in Vet Pete Wedderburn’s clinic, pet owner Cathy has dropped in with her beloved companion Chloe, a little Yorkshire Terrier that’s causing some concern, when a small tumour is discovered during a routine check-up. Nearby in Bairbre O’Malley’s vet clinic, Derek has rushed in Duffy his family’s four year old rabbit, who has suffered a serious dog attack and is in urgent need of Bairbre’s care.

Ireland’s Animal A&E airs from Tuesday 7th January 2014 at 7.30pm, on TV3.
