TV3 AND 3e SWEEP THE BOARDS AT THE GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS

Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment) takes Best Actor Crown ahead of another TV3 favourite Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors)
TV3's 30 Rock steals the show with 3 wins

The TV3 Group is delighted to announce an impressive four wins in this year's Golden Globe Awards which took place at The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on Sunday, 11th January 2009.

Ireland's Gabriel Byrne took home the Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television series - Drama, for In Treatment which will air on 3e in March.  Gabriel beat fellow Irish actor, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, star of award-winning The Tudors, which will be the jewel in the crown of the spring schedule. 

Gabriel was in good company having been nominated alongside Michael C. Hall for TV3's Dexter, Hugh Laurie for TV3's House and Jon Hamm for Mad Men.

TV3's 30 Rock cleaned up at the Awards Ceremony, wining a total of 3 Awards including:

- Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy
- Tina Fey for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy
- Alec Baldwin for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy

Watch out for the hugely anticipated In Treatment starring Gabriel Byrne starting on 3e in March.
