XPOSÉ Magazine’s fabulous beauty guru on her recent faves and a spa treatment she tried out this month
1 The new Dolce and Gabbana Dolce Rosa Excelsa Eau de Parfum, €62, (available in Arnotts, Debenhams and good pharmacies nationwide from mid-February) comes with a fab limited edition lipstick from Dolce and Gabbana's own make-up range, which, BTW, you can't even get yet in Ireland! The rose is a recurrent motif seen throughout Dolce and Gabbana's runway collections and it inspired the creation of this gorgeous new scent.
2 Lancôme are getting on board and celebrating the Year of the Monkey this Chinese New Year by giving you a gorgeous, exclusive gift with purchase. This luxurious Lancôme skincare gift contains a miniature Advanced Génifique, Tonique Confort and Galatee Confort and for an even more luxurious feel Absolue Premium Bx Day cream and Absolue Premium Bx Night cream. The whole thing is worth €90. How could you not? You can get the gift with the purchase of two or more Lancôme products, from Lancôme counters at Brown Thomas, Arnotts, Boots, Clerys, Debenhams and McElhinneys from 27 January onwards, while stocks last3 I’m obsessed with Marie Kondo and her book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up. Having de-cluttered my make-up I’ve got all my empty containers ready to go to Brown Thomas, as MAC do this great Back to MAC scheme, where you can swap/recycle six of your empties for a brand new lipstick which would normally cost you nearly €20. That's a 100 per cent discount. Very satisfying indeed!
South William Street in Dublin is like the Savile Row of beauty with lots of my favourite salons settled there. Claudine King is the latest to move in with her fancy new salon, Claudine King Brows & Beauty, see www.claudinekingbrows.ie. Claudine has over ten years of experience in the beauty industry and is best known for her brow and lash treatments. However, she also has a wealth of experience in waxing, facial treatments, manis and pedis. I popped in to try one of her Rodial facials. Known as the glamorous alternative to surgery and bridging the gap between scientific and natural skincare, I tried the Dragon's Blood Sculpt Instant Liquid Facelift, €60. It’s billed as an alternative to injectable fillers as this innovative facial instantly plumps up skin for a more youthful complexion. It’s a great one to do before a big event or night out as the results are instant. I also tried the Yumi Lashes, €80, while I was there. Next time I’m going to try the Clinicare Express Chemical Peel, €65. I’ve heard great reports about this new generation chemical peeling product made up of various acids, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals and epidermal growth factor (EGF-1). It’s anti-ageing and skin rejuvenating without any down time!
