People have been evacuated from the area which is popular with Irish tourists
Holidaymakers have been evacuated from an area in Tenerife after huge waves have destroyed seafront apartments.
Waves, reaching 40ft in height have destroyed 3rd story balconies in seafront apartments on the popular Irish tourist island.
Vicious storms have led to cars being swept into the sea, and restaurant and shop fronts being completely destroyed.

Terrifying footage shows waves crash into an apartment block in Mesa del Mar.
Areas with reported damage from the storm include Adeje, Garichico and Las Chapas among others.
65 apartment blocks have been evacuated as a result of the storms.
A severe weather warning was issued for parts of the Canary Islands late last week.
It is unknown if any Irish tourists were caught up in any of the incidents.
