Met Éireann have just upgraded the yellow weather warning to a Status Orange for 13 counties, as Storm Callum is officially named.
The national forecaster has issued the Status Orange wind warning for Donegal, Galway, Mayo, Sligo, Clare, Kerry, Dublin, Louth, Wexford, Wicklow, Meath, Cork and Waterford from 10pm Thursday to 9am Friday. There are also risks of coastal flooding, and the warning is in place from 10pm Thursday until 12pm Friday.
The remainder of the country is covered by a Status Yellow Wind Warning and will remain in place until 9am Friday.
Met Éireann has warned that strong winds associated with Storm Callum could reach speeds of between 110 and 130km/h.
