Mix-up at Tesco petrol station causes CHAOS as cars break down on motorway

A trail of motorists have been left stranded today after allegedly filling up their cars from a diesel tank containing water at a Tesco petrol station in Bristol in the UK.
Videos shared on social media show several broken down cars and vans on the forecourt, on a nearby roundabout, and on the road from the Tesco to the nearby M23. Witnesses initially believed the diesel and petrol pumps had been mixed up before a Tesco spokesman revealed the issue was actually water being found in a faulty pump.
One bemused motorist warned locals:
"Don’t fill up from Tesco in Eastville. They have mixed up petrol with diesel at the pump. They’ve put the wrong fuel in the pumps.
"Our preliminary investigation has found water in the diesel at one of the storage tanks at our Bristol East Extra petrol station.
The petrol station remains closed whilst we investigate the cause, and we apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers.”
