As the country spent the last few months basking in a mini-heatwave, Met Éireann have issued a status yellow rainfall warning for the entire country!
Irish weather experts have issued a warning as the tail-end of Storm Ernesto is set to blow in across the country this weekend, bringing incredibly heavy downpours and humid temperatures.
The subtropical storm has been making its way across the Atlantic and is set to reach Ireland on Saturday night.
Status Yellow - Weather Advisory for Ireland
High intensity rainfall over a relatively short period of time for many areas on Saturday night associated with the remnants of Tropical Storm Ernesto. Totals up to 20mm could occur quite widely with higher falls locally. The situation will continue to be monitored.
