Weather forecasters have predicted what kind of winter we’ll have and it’s NOT good news

After a fairly mild autumn, the weather has well and truly taken a turn for the worse this week.

Temperatures have plummeted with some parts of the country even experiencing frost in the past few days.

And some meteorologists have predicted what type of weather we’re to receive this winter and it’s not good news…

They reckon this could be the coldest November and December in the UK and Ireland since 2010 and perhaps even the coldest EVER on record.

Piers Corbyn, a weather forecaster for WeatherAction, told the Express that "Apart from some cold snaps the first half of November is looking relatively average for the time of year with some milder periods.”

"However during the second half of the month there is a greater risk of things tuning much colder and this will bring a greater threat of snow. Scotland and the far north will get the coldest conditions with temperatures dipping possibly to -10C or below."

Sounds delightful…

And if you’re wondering what the chances of a White Christmas are, Paddy Power have their odds of snow on the big day in Dublin to 5/1.
