One dead and one injured in HORROR Irish house fire

The fire broke out in the early hours of this morning

One man is dead and another injured after a horrific house fire broke out in Dundalk Co.Louth this morning.

The deceased was an 84-year-old grandfather, it has emerged.

His adult son was also in the house at the time.

The fire broke out in a detached bungalow on Grey Acre Road in the town in the early hours of this morning and was reported to emergency services just before 7am.

According to the Irish Mirror, two people were in the house when the fire broke out and the injured party has been rushed to hospital.

Gardai have confirmed that traffic diversions have been put in place.
