THIS is what we DIDNíT see before the Strictly elimination on Sunday22nd Oct 18 | Entertainment News
Controversy has hit Strictly Come Dancing again this year with comedian Seann Walsh caught kissing his married professional dancer Katya Jones a few weeks back.
Despite calls for the pair to withdraw from the show, they have decided to remain in the competition and have apologised for any hurt they may have caused due to their behaviour.
Since then it seems like the world and its mother has been following the story and tuning into the show to see their dances with viewing figures reaching a whopping 11 million people.
Seann and Katya found themselves in the bottom two along with Vick Hope and Graziano Di Prima this weekend and viewers were left absolutely fuming when they were saved by the judges over Vick and Graziano.
But it sounds like we didn’t see a very important part of the elimination deliberations and it might explain a lot…
Speaking on the Capital Breakfast Show, Vick has spoken about how nobody agrees with her being sent home and revealed that the producers had a “very strange” conversation with the judges before they gave their decisions after the dance off.
She said: "It was very strange – so after the dance off the judges have to give their decisions but there was a bit of a conflab with some producers and then they gave their decisions, and it was just stunned silence in the studio, it was a really weird atmosphere."
She also revealed that Craig Revel Horwood, the only judge to save her on Sunday night, was also the only judge to have a drink with her after the show.
However show bosses at the Beeb have since said that Vick's claims are categorically untrue and that producers do not tell the judges how to vote.
A spokesperson for the show told the Sun:
“It is categorically untrue to imply that producers tell the Judges how to score or who to save. Each judge votes on each dance independently, based on its merits and in their expert opinion alone.”
“The judges use an electronic voting pad to transmit their score or choice of who to save to the production gallery which is then locked in and cannot be changed."
“Only after (the judges vote) does a Producer speak to the judges, advising them on how long they have to speak and reminding them to give a reason for their decisions.
“The process was exactly the same this weekend.”
