Ever wish you knew more about Laura Whitmore? We XPOSÉ Mag gals did! Here’s 9 things we learned…

1. Laura landed her debut presenter role on MTV in 2008 when she won a competition called Pick Me MTV.

2. Laura obtained her journalism degree from DCU, but also spent a year abroad studying at Boston University.

3. She featured in Rizzle Kicks music video for Skip to the Good Bit, as well as The Coronas’ video for Mark My Words.

4. She collaborated with Daisy London on a dainty jewellery collection, which included charms and pendants. Pieces from the collection were spotted on celebs, from Caroline Flack to Niall Horan.

5. Laura’s most used emoji is the monkey covering his eyes. She told Look Online, “It doesn’t matter what the situation is, it just explains everything!”

6. Her three handbag essentials are “keys, cashew nuts–but sometimes the bag opens and I’m left with cashews down the end of my bag… but they’re great for when I’m peckish on the go! And the last thing is poo bags for my dog. Not very classy but you should always be prepared!”

7. She once turned her hair pink with red lipstick while at music festival, Coachella. “It wasn’t the right way to do it,” she said, “it worked though!”

8. Laura’s parents separated when she was just three years old, but she has good relationships with them both.

9. She says her teenage years posed many challenges. She told the Irish Independent: “I was awkward. Petrified of boys. I was scrawny with no boobs. I grew up in a small house with just my mam and felt quite lonely at times. I always thought I wasn’t cool enough in school, I was in the 'nerd' crew. I actually enjoyed studying..."
