Pippa O'Connor and Brian Ormond will take over The Seven O'Clock Show next week.

The couple will take over from Martin King and Lucy Kennedy, who are taking a well-deserved week off from the evening show.

The Seven O’Clock show shared the news on their Twitter account saying, “While Martin and Lucy are away, new faces come to play @pipsypie @brianormond79 will host the show next week #CANTWAIT.”

Brian took to Twitter himself later, writing: "So next week should be fun! Myself and my wife are hosting @SevenOClockShow on @TV3Ireland @pipsypie #neverworkwithkidsoranimalsoryourwife."

Pippa and Brian welcomed their second son Louis earlier this year. Mum Pippa recently revealed that older brother Ollie had already warmed to the new arrival.

"Ollie adores his little brother. That was probably my only worry before I had him – how would Ollie react. Thankfully he’s been amazing and has adapted very well.

"There was the odd moment of acting out looking for attention but nothing major. We’ve been mindful to keep Ollie involved as much as possible but really we had nothing to worry about.

"He’s so proud to have him and is so kind to him. The 2 of them meeting in the hospital for the first time was magical. I felt so emotional and lucky seeing them together."
