TV3 is pleased to officially announce that it will broadcast Big Brother UK in Ireland this year. The 16th series of this television phenomenon launches on Tuesday 12th of May across the TV3 Group. In a deal inked with Endemol Shine, TV3 Group has exclusively acquired the rights to air over 200 hours of the hugely popular fly on the wall reality series including spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

The deal will also see TV3 broadcast Celebrity Big Brother, with series scheduled for this autumn and January 2016.

Lynda McQuaid, TV3 Group Director of Content, said: “As the new Director of Content for TV3, I am delighted to announce the return of BIG BROTHER UK to Irish screens. Big Brother and all its spin-offs are large, explosive, constantly evolving, creatively vibrant television properties that appeal to a varied cross section of the audience and will find a perfect home on TV3 and 3e.”

And with Emma focusing all her attention on the live stage, Rylan Clark will be running riot as host of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

Both TV3 and 3e will be the home of ‘Big Brother 2015’.
