Beauty tricks from the catwalk that you NEED to know

XPOSÉ Magazine decipher the s/s16 catwalk beauty trends that will work for you

High Brow

Seen at: Dolce and Gabbana, Cavalli

What’s the angle? Realistically, brows were seen at every show (barring maybe Givenchy, more on that later…) but the theme? Bringing back the brow bone. D&G showed bushy, natural, brushed up brows. Cavalli had more definition but still a focus on making them a feature of the face. Don’t play them down, but don’t overdo it either. Scouse brow is over.

Read My Lips

Seen at: Topshop Unique, Acne, Jason Wu

What’s the angle? The red lip was absolutely everywhere, and we are delighted. There aren’t many trends that suit absolutely every skin tone, absolutely every occasion… but the red lip is most definitely one of them. Whether you’re a gloss fan or a matte lover, red lips are the easiest route to glam you’ll get this s/s16.

Do it yourself: It’s as simple as finding your shade. Once you’ve got one that suits, you can pretty much pick any texture and match it to one or other of the s/s16 shows. We loved the high shine look by Dick Page for Shiseido at Acne and the matte precision seen at Jason Wu.
