Gigi Hadid is the model of the moment. Every time I pick up a magazine she’s either on the cover or gracing the pages and she features in the latest Maybelline commercial for Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara. Oh, and let’s not forget about her 11 million Instagram followers! Last New York Fashion Week I caught up with the blonde bombshell backstage at the Diane von Furstenberg show.

She had lots of members of her ‘squad’ with her including Karlie Kloss, another Maybelline gal Jourdan Dunn and Kendall Jenner. The fashion 'It' girl exploded onto the modelling scene in 2014 and has since joined the ranks of models like Christy Turlington, Adriana Lima, and Jourdan Dunn as the newest Maybelline brand ambassador. As Gigi was having her hair done we discussed beauty and hair likes and dislikes.

Gigi doesn’t like washing her hair every day as she prefers it the day after washing. She told me, “I like to give my hair a break from washing whenever I can and especially after all the shows when it’s had so much product and styling. Washing it every day dries it out.”

I bumped into her again at the Maybelline NYFW party at the Rockefeller centre where she was rocking a racy white lace dress. She has totally turned me onto Maybelline’s The Nudes eye palette, €14.99, too. I’ve been doing my own version of Gigi’s famous bronze smokey eye look, as well as her daytime barely there look. Victoria’s Secret, call me. I think I’ve got that make-up look you love nailed. Still working on the bod though!
