Black Pepper & Soy Beef, Spiced Mango & Crunchy Vegetables Slaw

 Chef Sham Hanifa is in the kitchen tonight with this delicious dish.

  • 1 unripe mango
  • 2 round shallot(fine sliced)
  • 1 cucumber( baton)
  • 1 carrot ( small julienne)
  • Handful of green bean (chopped)
  • 1/4 shredded Cabbage
  • 1 red chili(sliced)
  • 1 thumb size ginger ( small Diced)
  • 1 handful of coriander (roughly chopped)
  • 1 lime juice
  • 2tbsp fish sauce
  • 1tbsp soya sauce
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar

 

For beef marinade :

  • 6 fine slice fillet of beef
  • 1tablespoon sugar/ honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1tablespoon Black pepper

 

 

 

Method

 

  1. For the marinade combine honey, soy sauce, garlic and black pepper.
  2. Coat beef in the mixture and allow to marinate for up to 2 hours.
  3. Slice shallots, cucumber, carrot, cabbage, green beans, chili & ginger.
  4. Mix lime juice, fish sauce, soya sauce, vinegar & sugar. Add sliced veg & toss.
  5. Toss the marinated beef on piping hot pan until crispy on all sides.
