Things are a bit nutty here in the kitchen this morning as Kelly Lou from Kelly Lou cakes joins us with her twist on Peanut Butter M&M Blondies to keep us all out of trouble.
Kelly Lou’s Peanut M&M Blondies
Ingredients:
175g butter (melted)
300g light soft brown sugar
200g peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
200g plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
Pack of peanut M&M’s
Method:
1) Preheat over to 170 degrees.
2) Line a 8”x8” square tin with parchment paper
3) In a large bowl mix together the melted butter and light brown sugar, add the peanut butter and mixed until combined.
4) Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract
5) Sift flour and baking powder into the bowl and fold to combine.
6) Spread the batter into the prepared 8”x8” square tin
7) Top with the peanut M&M’s
8) Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes
9) Remove from the oven and allow to cool fully in the tin
10) Once cold, remove from the tin and cut into squares
