Less than 7 weeks ago on the 23rd August, 24 year old Yasmin Lee Williams took her own life on the banks of the River Shannon. Yasmin had battled with her mental health since her teenage years.
For years, mum of four Sandra Byrnes tried to help her daughter Yasmin with her mental health issues but Yasmin also suffered with an eating disorder and an addiction. Sandra feels that Yasmin fell through the cracks of the HSE and feels there is not enough help for anyone with a dual diagnosis.
Our Reporter Brianna Parkins travelled to Limerick to meet Yasmin’s family who want to prevent others experiencing the pain they have endured.
Brianna Parkins spoke to Yasmin's Mother Sandra as she remembers her little girl and how she doesn’t want Yasmin forgotten about.
