Handful shiitake mushrooms or chestnut mushrooms finely diced
1 pack of ready to eat wild rice (or rice of choice)
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce
1 tsp honey
½ tsp ground ginger
1 tsp garlic granules
1-2 tsp sesame oil
iceberg lettuce leaves or BabyGem Lettuce finely sliced
Method
1. Heat the sesame oil In a medium-sized pan, brown your beef with the soy sauce, fresh chilli, onion and garlic granules
2. Add in the bean sprouts and mushrooms and fry off, then add the soy, ginger, oyster sauce and honey
3. Let it all cook for 10 minutes on a medium heat, until the beef starts to crisp a little - add in the pack of rice and stir in, add 100 mls water and add a lid to the pan and let it simmer for 2-3 mins until the rice heats through
4. Once ready, spoon into a bowl, add the shredded lettuce - I also added crispy onions and chilli oil to garnish - enjoy this little treat to your tastebuds
