Ingredients
Serves 4
375 calories and 46.5g protein per serving
Leftover Chicken (around 400g) or 3 or 4 Breasts diced is fine too
1 Large onion
1 Clove of Garlic
1 head of Broccoli
Breadcrumbs (1 slice of bread)
For the sauce
300ml Light Milk
15g Flour Plain
Half a tsp Garlic Powder
120g Light Cheddar
Salt and Pepper to taste
Method
1. To cook the sauce, in a large pot add your milk, flour and garlic powder.
2. Whisk until mixed well and place on a medium heat, just as it's reaching boiling point drop the heat and stir until it becomes thicker.
3. Remove from heat and add in your Grated cheese along with salt and pepper to taste.
4. In a pot boil your Broccoli for no more than 5 minutes
5. On a pan soften the chopped onion and garlic. Add in the chicken (if you're using fresh chicken cook until it is 80% cooked)
6. Add the chicken, onion and broccoli into an oven dish.
7. Pour your Cheese Sauce on top and then sprinkle Breadcrumbs and extra Grated Cheese
8. Cook in a preheated oven for 25 minutes at 190.
9. Serve and enjoy!
