Knickerbocker Glory
This is a gorgeous dessert and is a version of the classic sundae. This is no exact recipe but rather a series of ingredients that need to be present
Flavoured Jelly
Ice Cream
Whipped Cream
Chopped Nuts
Fresh Fruit
Sauce of Choice
Sugar Sprinkles
In a tall glass layer up the jelly, cream and ice cream and then garnish with your chosen sauce. Finish with some whipped cream and then sprinkle with some chopped nuts, fresh fruit, sugar sprinkles and some edible wafers and decorations
Butterscotch Sauce
2oz/50g butter
2oz/50g brown sugar
7floz/200ml pouring cream
Melt the butter and brown sugar until bubbling point.
Whisk in the cream and simmer for 5 minutes
Chocolate Sauce
8floz/225ml pouring cream
4oz/110g dark chocolate-chopped
1 measure of baileys (optional)
Put the cream into a small saucepan and bring to a rapid boil. Pour the boiled cream onto the chopped chocolate and mix well. Whisk in the Baileys if desired. This is now ready to use.
