Carbs have often been cast as an enemy to those who diet, but are they all bad? Dietitian Richelle Flanagan joined us to tell us the truth about carbs.
According to Richelle, cutting out carbohydrates is a bad idea for maintaining a balanced diet and energy levels throughout your day.
While weight loss can happen when carbs are eliminated from your diet this is from a loss of glycogen, a sugar in your muscles, and water which means it's not fat that's being lost at all. This also means that weight will go back up immediately after carbs are reintroduced.
Richelle Flanagan recommends 6 portions spread out throughout the day, watch below as she explains what foods are best for getting in carbohydrates.
